Syntech is seeking a Network Administrator who will be responsible for the  maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of network and phone systems within the organization.


  • Provide technical oversight of enterprise network, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
  • Administer the wireless infrastructure and supporting systems.
  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
  • Maintain computer networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers, switches, and other physical hardware.
  • Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
  • Protect the integrity of network, data, communication systems and workstations.
  • Setup and assign new VOIP phones.
  • Manage PBX and VOIP services.


  • BS in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related discipline; will consider relevant years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ enterprise network administration experience.
  • Network+, Security+, CCNA, and/or ITIL certification, preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of networking protocols, IP networking, virtualization technologies, SAN technologies, server operating systems, network operating systems and related best practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network and systems security best practices.
  • Experience administering VOIP phone systems, routers, firewalls, and client VPN software.
  • Ability to be on call and work after hours, as needed.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with a diverse audience (outside vendors, clients, employees, etc).
  • Must have an aptitude for troubleshooting, analyzing, and diagnosing problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks; possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
