TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Technical Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex projects in the embedded hardware domain. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills to drive the development and deployment of innovative hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing cross-functional teams and a preference for experience in embedded hardware systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of embedded hardware projects, from initial concept and design through production, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, QA, and manufacturing to ensure project alignment and progress.
  • Define project scope, objectives, resources, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Track and report project performance, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality, budget, and technical requirements.
  • Manage and resolve project-related issues and risks, ensuring that project objectives are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring effective communication across all project stages.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices for embedded hardware development.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers or team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Will consider relevant years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) managing technical projects, preferably in embedded hardware or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, IoT devices, or similar technologies, a plus.
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware development lifecycle, including design, testing, and production.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in industries such as IoT, automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with PCB design, firmware development, or hardware-software integration.
  • PMP or similar project management certification, a plus.
