Syntech Systems was formed to acquire HCI.
Due to the success of the AFAS program, Syntech began to market the system commercially to non- military users under the name ‘FuelMaster’.
The company was contracted by Rockwell, Inc. to develop the automated ammunition resupply system for the AC-130 attack aircraft.
The AFAS contract was expanded to include all DOD locations worldwide including U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.
The company initiated a major expansion of its ‘engineering development capabilities’ with an emphasis on hardware, software, communications and security products, related to fueling automation technology.
Expanded its commercial marketing and sales staff in response to new products developed by the engineering department. The expansion included the creation of twelve sales regions across the U.S. and Canada.
Awarded the ‘Small Business of the Year’ by the Tallahassee Democrat and the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.
Presented with a ceremonial military American flag that was flown over Army squadron headquarters during combat in gratitude for continued support and donations of American soldiers.

Awarded the ‘Manufacturing Business of the Year’ by the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.
