ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling the entire product or component ensuring customer requirements are met and in accordance with established processes and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assemble hardware working from Work Orders, Sales Orders, Assembly Instructions, Mechanical Drawings, and/or parts lists.
  • Verify product/assembly conformance as a part of the assembly process.
  • Perform simple rework for defective/nonconforming material, as needed.
  • Perform basic inventory tasks such as regular cycle counts and pick assembly kits.
  • Assemble AIM kits.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Perform simple facility maintenance, as needed, reporting more serious issues to Management.
  • Participate in cross training within the department to provide support with service order processing, shipping and receiving support, and pulling kits.
  • Engage in process improvements using 5S, Lean Manufacturing and PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Once trained, must be able to work M-F, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with common tools (assorted drivers, wrenches, etc.).
  • Solder experience, a plus.
  • Facility maintenance experience, a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing/electronics experience, a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with others outside of the department.
